Job Summary
Oversees SBA loan portfolio operations including quality control, approvals, and post-closing servicing. Responsibilities include coordinating SBA approvals, preparing loan authorizations and commitment letters, ordering third-party reports, preparing loan documentation and coordinating closings with attorneys, processing amendments, ensuring ongoing compliance, preparing loan sale documentation where applicable, maintaining accurate credit and collateral files, communicating with borrowers to resolve issues, performing loan underwriting and credit analysis, preparing loan packages for approval, producing management reports, and responding to inquiries related to SBA lending. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of SBA operations experience, with strong SBA SOP knowledge and experience with SBA underwriting systems (e.g., Tsoft).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7+ years of SBA operations experience
- Strong understanding of SBA SOP, lending processes, and secondary market operations
- Experience with SBA loan underwriting systems (e.g., Tsoft)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical financial writing
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
