Job Summary
Operates the Precision End Trim Saw (PET) and forklift to fulfill custom-length lumber orders, and prepares/loads shipments. Tasks include feeding/removing material through the PET, handling material with forklift, stacking/wrapping finished goods, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining yard cleanliness. Maintains equipment and performs pre-use safety checks, adheres to PPE and safety procedures, and supports inventory reporting to leadership. Also assists in scheduled cycle and spot counts, coaches new hires during onboarding, and completes tasks in a timely, customer-delivery-focused manner.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year related experience or equivalent
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Solid communication skills (verbal & written)
- Computer skills (Time & Labor Management System, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work closely with peers on team-oriented goals
- Ability to follow company directives and instructions
