Job Summary
Operates basic saw types (pop-up, miter, web saws) to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders; adjusts saw and feed speed, observes automatic feeding of lumber, stacks cut lumber, and notifies supervisor of dull blades. Requires basic reading and math ability, strong attention to safety, teamwork, and the ability to perform tasks with accuracy and productivity in a loud fabrication environment; no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
