Job Summary
Entry-level Hem Saw Operator responsible for operating hem saw and related cutting equipment to accurately cut metal plates, sheets, and fabricated components under supervision. Reads and interprets prints, drawings, and work instructions to determine cutting requirements and tolerances; sets up equipment, adjusts stops/guides/blades/programs; performs accurate cutting, material preparation, and surface cleaning; monitors operation for safety, quality, and productivity; inspects finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality; packages finished products; maintains tool/equipment cleanliness and performs routine maintenance; follows safety procedures and ISO/6S quality standards; reports equipment or material discrepancies, safety concerns; requires basic shop math and knowledge of metal fabrication; strong emphasis on teamwork and safe work practices.
