Job Summary
Operate band and cold saws to cut raw materials per work orders, measuring and inspecting finished cuts for dimensional accuracy. Verify material type, size, and heat/lot traceability before and after cutting while maintaining proper labeling throughout the process. Manage stock levels of bar, pipe, and tube, tracking usage and remnants in the ERP/MRP system. Operate forklifts to load/unload deliveries and stage material for production, performing routine machine maintenance including blade changes and coolant management. Follow all safety protocols and support quality teams with first-piece verification. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work orders
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers
- Basic computer literacy for entering inventory transactions and data entry
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs independently
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and proper material handling practices
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience operating industrial saws or similar metal-fabrication equipment
- Current or prior Forklift Operator Certification
- Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Defense, or Medical Device)
- Experience working with diverse metals such as titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Exposure to ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems and an understanding of material certifications (MTRs)
