Job Summary
Measure and cut steel using vertical and horizontal band saws, read cut lists and fabrication drawings, and organize materials for welders. Build complete material kits, anticipate production needs, and safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts while rigging loads and determining center of gravity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. This hands-on manufacturing role at American Bin and Conveyor supports the fabrication team, offering a path to advance skills across steel fabrication.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to plan ahead and manage changing priorities
- Safety-focused approach to working with steel and industrial equipment
- Ability to safely operate an overhead crane
- Understanding of proper rigging, load balance, and center of gravity
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable team player who can also work independently
- Successfully complete the pre-hire physical, drug screen and background check
- E-Verify eligibility to legally work in the United States
