Job Summary
Operate machinery in the Saturation department while monitoring material, equipment, and methods to ensure quality product is manufactured. Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and fixing minor mechanical problems. Collect data, complete record keeping, and conduct in-process quality testing using measuring and weighing tools. Execute Hazardous Waste Handler duties by transferring containers to the accumulation area and ensuring proper labeling and sealing. Participate in the Blythewood Plant Safety Program, complete required training, and solve problems affecting safety, quality, and productivity. Work in high humidity and temperature environments, lifting 50lbs, and stand for significant portions of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience with basic math, written and oral communication skills
- Ability and willingness to work with others as a team member
- Ability to understand and work with metric measures and volumes
- Ability to lift 50lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand a significant part of the shift
- Ability to work in high humidity and high temperature environments
- Must be able to work any shift required, including overtime
- Must complete all required annual training to meet safety rules and OSHA regulations
- Participate on problem solving teams as required
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience in coating, web handling or extrusion preferred
