Job Summary
Satellite Operator for LizzieSat Mission Control Center: responsible for all ground communications with the satellite constellation, including scheduling and initiating ground station passes, downlinking telemetry and payload data, uplinking command plans, and issuing satellite commands via the C&DH subsystem. Works closely with Flight Director, Orbit Analyst, Mission Planner, and engineers; participates in 24x7 operations with potential night/weekend shifts; maintains ground system and supports training of new team members; requires strong learning orientation, communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or another relevant field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in satellite operations or related field
