Job Summary
Perform Telemetry, Tracking, and Commanding (TT&C) for MILSATCOM satellites; interact with spacecraft and ground network during real-time operations; conduct mission planning and scheduling to meet satellite contacts; monitor spacecraft and payload performance; ensure ground systems are available and configured to support mission requirements; record anomalies and prepare performance reports for 10 SOPS management; role involves 8-hour rotating shifts, 24/7 coverage, and relocation to Pt. Mugu CA for training; requires Bachelor's or equivalent with 2-10 years of military satellite operations experience; U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance are required; occasional travel is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of experience/education in lieu of degree
- 2-10 years' experience performing military satellite operations
- Experience with military Satellite Operations
- Experience in Command and Control of a Satellite Constellation
- Must relocate to 10 SOPS Pt. Mugu CA to attend/complete Legacy systems and MUOS training; complete Satellite Operator Master Task Lists (MTL)
- Attend and pass the Satellite Operator Qualification Board; with assignment to 10 SOPS Point Mugu CA
- Occasional travel to support 10 SOPS satellite operations
- Security clearance: Secret
