Job Summary
Install satellite television and internet systems, including DIRECTV, Viasat, and Starlink, by mounting, aligning, and configuring customer equipment. Run and secure cabling according to installation standards, program and activate devices, and troubleshoot service and connectivity issues. Perform repairs, upgrades, and equipment replacements while verifying proper functionality before leaving each job site. Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the installation process. This full-time independent contractor role requires 40-50 hours weekly, including alternating weekends, within a 100-mile service area. Candidates must provide their own work vehicle, extension ladder, hand tools, and mobile device.
Required Qualifications
- Previous satellite, cable, telecommunications, or related field experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned workload
- Customer service experience
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Ability to lift and carry installation equipment and materials
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to successfully pass required background screening
- Ability to successfully complete required drug screening
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when business needs require
- Ability to meet customer service and installation quality expectations
- A work vehicle capable of transporting installation materials and an extension ladder
- Required hand tools and basic installation equipment
- Smartphone or mobile device capable of supporting field service applications
