Job Summary
SAT/ACT Tutor needed for part-time, after-school sessions on-site at a partner high school. Provide 1:1 or small-group tutoring focusing on SAT/ACT reading, writing, and math, along with test-taking strategies, pacing, error analysis, and practice routines. Build diagnostic goals, track progress with skill checklists, adapt instruction based on performance trends, and maintain a supportive learning environment. Requires minimum 60 college credits (or an Associate degree in progress/completed) and demonstrated proficiency in SAT/ACT content; experience tutoring high school students in math and/or ELA is strongly preferred. Location: Burlingame, CA, with on-site, in-person scheduling after school; compensation ranges from $50-$100 per hour. Start dates rolling based on school schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits (or Associate degree in progress/completed)
- Demonstrated proficiency in SAT and/or ACT content, question types, and test strategies
- Experience tutoring high school students in math and/or ELA (test prep experience strongly preferred)
- Strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and comfort explaining concepts multiple ways
- Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to follow school policies and program boundaries
- Ability to create structured practice routines and support students with motivation and accountability
