SAT/ACT Language Teacher, Upward Bound Program

Job Summary
Implement the academic component of the Upward Bound Program by assisting 11th-grade students with the English, Reading, and Writing sections of the SAT and ACT. Review relevant test sections and Pre-ACT scores to reinforce effective test-taking strategies, identify areas for improvement, and teach students how to prepare and study. Provide supplemental support in reading comprehension, grammar, writing, and other language skills to help students build confidence and strengthen their performance on college entrance exams. Classes are held Thursday evenings from 6:30 P.M. to 8:20 P.M. during Fall 2026, comprising two 50-minute periods. A Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field is preferred, along with current knowledge and experience with both the SAT and ACT. The University strongly encourages applications from persons with diverse backgrounds.
