Job Summary
SASE & Security Presales Specialist (remote/teleworker) for the Eastern United States. Lead technical discovery, design scalable SASE and Zero Trust architectures (including secure SD-WAN, SSE, and identity-based access), and deliver high-impact product demonstrations, workshops, and proofs-of-concept. Support sales pursuits by preparing clear, technically accurate documentation, respond to RFPs/RFIs/security questionnaires, and collaborate with account managers, partners, and services teams to drive deal outcomes. Travel across the Eastern U.S. to meet with customers, attend workshops, and participate in industry events; majority time is remote with regional travel. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical presales or related roles, hands-on SASE/SSE/Zero Trust experience, strong networking and security fundamentals, cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP), and excellent communication skills; certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, Security+ or equivalent cloud certs are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical presales, sales engineering, or solution architecture roles within networking, security, or cloud domains
- Hands-on experience with SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, or cloud-delivered security architectures
- Strong understanding of security technologies such as firewalls, IPsec, SSL-VPN, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspection
- Solid networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, BGP, and OSPF
- Familiarity with identity and access concepts including SSO, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and RBAC
- Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud)
- Comfortable delivering live demos, whiteboarding architectures, and running customer POCs
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, team-oriented sales environment
