Job Summary
SAS Quant Developer needed to design and develop SAS programs for quantitative/financial models. Requires 3-5 years of software development related to quantitative/statistical/financial modeling and at least 3 years of SAS programming experience (Base SAS, Macros, PROC SQL, PROC RISK, IML, SAS Enterprise Guide). Responsibilities include developing new models from scratch, optimizing SAS code for performance, and potentially implementing automated unit testing and data validation. Preferred but not mandatory experience includes RDBMS, SAS Reporting, Excel, ETL, FinCAD Analytics Suite, and Enterprise IT system implementations. Contract roles with openings in Pasadena, CA (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years software development related to quantitative, statistical and/or financial models
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming in SAS; familiar with Base SAS, Macros, PROC SQL, PROC RISK, IML and SAS Enterprise Guide; programming should include development of new models from scratch
- Evidence of ability to design and develop SAS programs optimized for performance and support
- Experience developing and using automated unit testing and data validation is preferred
- Prior experience with RDBMS, SAS Reporting, Excel, and ETL is highly preferred
- Prior experience with FinCAD Analytics Suite for developer is preferred
- Prior Enterprise IT system implementation experience is preferred
