Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee relations, performance management, compensation, payroll, and team development. Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and corrective action while developing training programs and educational resources. Manage workforce planning, pre-employment screening, and annual benefits enrollment to ensure ACA and California regulatory compliance. Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned, balancing hands-on execution with organizational goals. Partner with regional and corporate HR leaders on culture, engagement, and leadership development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum of seven years of progressive human resources leadership experience
- Experience supporting leaders and team members in a complex, service-oriented environment
- At least five years of experience in a HR management role with at least one direct report
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another highly regulated service environment
- Demonstrated experience with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, leaves of absence, performance management, compliance, and HR policy administration
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations
- Ability to interpret and apply policies consistently and appropriately
- Excellent employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and investigation skills
- Ability to build trust, influence leaders, and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- Proficiency using Workday
- Ability to anticipate and to think strategically and critically
- Ability to collaborate and to operate with a bias for action
- Strong knowledge of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership presence with the ability to influence and collaborate with team members at all levels
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing environments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another highly regulated service environment strongly preferred
- Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft suite, especially Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- SharePoint experience preferred
