Job Summary
Convert user requirements into technical design specifications and develop ABAP solutions aligned with those designs for an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation. Lead or guide other developers in maintainable development practices and code reviews while integrating backend SAP and non-SAP applications. Leverage Agile/Scrum methodologies to quickly build solutions, recommend business process improvements, and perform strong debugging and performance tuning. Maintain a Public Trust clearance and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role supports a Washington, DC-based government contract, requiring U.S. citizenship and a background check prior to onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Successful completion of a background check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
- 6+ years of SAP ABAP development and overall SAP experience
- Experience with S/4HANA
- Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non SAP applications
- Hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development and HANA CDS Views
- Implementation experience with SAP Fiori and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Proficiency in working with web services, proxies, and APIs for system integration
- Extensive technical expertise and hands-on experience with a wide range of ABAP technologies, including Reports, RFCs, Forms, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOP), BAPIs, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, and Data Conversions (BDC, LSMW, IDocs, ALE, and Workflows)
- Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
- Public Trust clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
- Certifications in Application Development, SAP BTP, or Agile methodologies
