Job Summary
SAP Basis Consultant to monitor SAP systems using SAP monitoring and observability tools, manage L1/L2 incident handling, and support RISE with SAP operations. Responsibilities include proactive health checks, performance trend reviews, incident coordination with SAP RISE teams and hyperscalers, outage/major incident support, SAP Basis administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager), HANA database health monitoring, kernel updates, client copies, transport-related activities, change and release support, and ITIL-based service management. Required skills include SAP Basis administration, SAP HANA monitoring, SAP Cloud ALM/SAP Focused Run knowledge, experience with 24x7 production support, and familiarity with hyperscalers and SAP-focused governance. Certifications in ITIL Foundation and SAP system administration and related SAP certifications are preferred. Required Qualifications
- 3–8 years of SAP Basis administration experience
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Solution Manager
- SAP HANA administration and monitoring
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Focused Run is desirable
- Experience with Transport Management System (TMS)
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP System Administration (preferred)
- SAP HANA Administration certification (preferred)
- Experience in 24x7 production support environments
- Experience working with managed service providers or AMS/MSM engagements
- Understanding of RISE with SAP operating model and SAP-managed cloud environments
- Experience with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of SAP support boundaries and customer responsibilities in RISE landscapes
- Experience with incident management, problem management, and change management
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- SLA-driven support operations
