Job Summary
Develop and maintain SAP ABAP code across cross-modular domains including HR, PM, CS, MM, and CRM using OOABAP, Enhancement Frameworks, and WebDynPro. Manage full-cycle implementations, resolve complex technical issues, and independently handle critical situations while writing and validating technical specifications. Collaborate with BASIS and functional experts to complete object development, testing, and performance tuning of ABAP code. Handle SNotes, Transport requests, and interface programming involving ALE, EDI, IDocs, and BAPIs. Liaise effectively with onshore or offshore teams within both waterfall and agile environments, ensuring adherence to quality guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of strong experience in SAP ABAP Design and Development
- OData services development in SAP Gateway
- Strong expertise in OOABAP Programming
- 1+ full cycle implementations as an ABAP Developer
- Cross-modular SAP ABAP programming covering HR, PM, CS, MM, CRM etc
- Strong hands-on knowledge in ABAP technologies such as Enhancement Framework, BADIs, Interactive Reporting, Dialog Programming, SAP Scripts, WebDynPro, Smart Forms, Interface Programming, ABAP Objects, BDC, Workflow and Data Conversions etc
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues and independently manage critical/complex situations
- Proven experience in writing and validating technical specifications
- Work effectively with BASIS and functional experts to complete object development and testing
- Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with ALE, EDI, IDocs, BAPI, RFCs, ABAP proxies
- Handling of SNotes and Transport requests
- Must have demonstrable experience of performance tuning of ABAP code
- End to End implementation experience with Exposure to Quality guidelines
- Proven ability to liaise with onshore or offshore teams effectively
- Experience in both waterfall and agile environments

- Utility projects are added advantage
- Exposure to BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
- Experience of working in the Utilities domain
- Experience of working for UK customers
- Experience/ Certification with SAP S4 HANA
