Job Summary
SAP Developer at ABB's Motion division focusing on ABAP development for SAP ECC/S/4HANA, RICEFW objects, and integrations with external platforms (Adobe/Magento) using MuleSoft, Web Services, RFCs, IDOCs, and BAPIs. Role includes SAP BTP/ABAP Cloud development, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications, and collaborating across SAP Basis, functional teams, and external partners. Emphasis on agile practices (SAFe/Scrum/Kanban), performance optimization for enterprise-scale platforms, and contributing to ABB Shop, a 50+ country eCommerce platform with ~1–2 weeks of travel per month. Remote-friendly with global exposure and opportunities to grow from ECC to cloud-native SAP technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher
- OO ABAP
- HANA CDS Views
- ABAP on HANA
- Experience integrating SAP with external systems via Web Services, RFC, IDOC, ALE, BADI, BAPI
- Strong command of at least one core SAP module: SD, MM, WM, or FI
- Ability to write clear technical specifications and communicate complex ideas
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
