SAP BW/BW4HANA Manager

Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day operation of the SAP BW platform, ensuring stability, performance, and availability while coordinating delivery of BI enhancements, fixes, and releases. Oversee the design and build of BI solutions, including data models, data flows, and reporting layers, working hands-on with architects to resolve technical issues and support standardization of financial, commercial, and operational reporting. Coordinate BI developers and analysts across multiple locations, allocating work, monitoring progress, and providing day-to-day guidance and technical support. Monitor data quality and consistency across SAP and non-SAP source systems, ensuring basic data validation, reconciliation, and control checks are in place to support audits and financial controls.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record leading at least one full-cycle BW/4HANA implementation or migration project
- Deep expertise in SAP BW data modeling objects (ADSOs, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, InfoObjects, InfoAreas)
- Strong command of ETL processes: ODP-based extraction, DTPs, transformations, and process chain design and monitoring
- Solid experience with SAP HANA modeling concepts (Calculation Views) and performance tuning
- Proficiency in ABAP for BW (AMDP procedures, start/end/expert routines, field routines)
- Experience integrating BW/4HANA with SAP source systems (ECC and/or S/4HANA)
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Minimum education: University degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum experience: Minimum 7+ years in BI, data platforms, or enterprise analytics environments
- Fluent English
- SAP BI / Analytics certifications (e.g. SAP BW, SAC, BusinessObjects)
- ITIL or similar service management frameworks
