Job Summary
Lead and manage SAP BOBJ implementation, migration, and upgrade projects from initiation to closure, developing detailed plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Oversee the development and deployment of SAP BusinessObjects solutions, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Universe Design, and Lumira, while ensuring best practices are followed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BOBJ tools and environments, working with the BI team to define data models and optimize query performance. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to prepare and present project status reports. Oversee project team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to foster a collaborative environment. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards through regular code reviews and performance tuning.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience
- at least 5 years in managing SAP BOBJ projects
- Expertise in overseeing the development and deployment of SAP BusinessObjects solutions, including Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, Universe Design, and Lumira
- Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, Universe Design (IDT/UDT), Lumira and Dashboards (Xcelsius), Central Management Console (CMC), Information Design Tool (IDT), and Data Services
- Experience with SAP BW/4HANA integration
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to lead and manage SAP BOBJ implementation, migration, and upgrade projects from initiation to closure
- Ability to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Ability to act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Ability to prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management
- Ability to work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and document project requirements
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the BI team
- Ability to oversee project team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Ability to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Ability to conduct regular code reviews and performance tuning of BOBJ reports and Universes
