Job Summary
Greet guests with a positive, energetic, and professional manner while booking reservations using the company system. Manage guest flow to minimize wait times and maximize revenue by monitoring business volumes, answer phones according to established standards, and assist with any guest issues. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhere to uniform and hygiene standards, and complete opening and closing duties efficiently. Utilize radios with headsets for communication and remain aware of all activities at Ocean, including safety and liability procedures. Multi-task across answering phones, greeting guests, rearranging reservations, monitoring line queues, and encouraging upsell opportunities. Work irregular shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high-pressure casino environment.
Required Qualifications
- Availability for evenings, weekends and peak holiday hours
- Must have a minimum of six months' experience as a host/hostess in a high volume and/or kid-friendly environment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work irregular shift assignments, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend and twist for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
