Job Summary
Teach and demonstrate tennis technique to beginning through UTR 4.5 level players of all ages, utilizing a wide range of games and drills to keep students moving and having fun. Lead groups of children and adults with an engaging, positive coaching style that fosters patience for new learners while maintaining fast-paced, accurate ball feeding skills. Conduct weekly instruction on Saturdays and Sundays, occasionally assisting with weekday P&R group lessons, requiring solid playing ability (4.0+ NTRP) and previous coaching experience. Work within a successful organization focused on grass-roots development for all ages and abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience
- Must have an engaging personality
- Enjoy interacting with kids and adults
- A positive and team focused attitude
- The ability to lead and communicate effectively to groups of children and adults
- Solid playing ability (4.0+ NTRP)
- Fast paced and accurate ball feeding skills
- The ability to work with a wide variety of skill levels with the focus on beginning through UTR 4.5
- Patience when dealing with students that are new to the sport
- A good understanding of classic and modern tennis fundamentals
- A wide range of games and drills to get students moving and having fun
- A strong work-ethic that includes being punctual and professional at all times
- Must submit to a consumer investigative report
- Subject to a TB screening
