Job Summary
Sanitor I on 2nd shift responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plant equipment and facilities per SSOPs, operating pan washer, assisting with machine disassembly for cleaning, handling chemicals safely, reporting safety, food safety, and quality concerns to appropriate personnel, and complying with all safety and food safety requirements and procedures. Requires 1 year minimum cleaning experience in a kitchen or food plant sanitation, basic knowledge of sanitation steps and chemical usage, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Location: Colton, CA. Shift: 2nd shift.Salary range: $18.50 - $19.25 per hour (California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Washington and New York Residents Only).
Required Qualifications
- 1 year minimum working in a kitchen cleaning or 1 year working in a food plant as a sanitor cleaning equipment/machines
- Basic knowledge of pre-rinse/wash/rinse/sanitize steps
- Basic knowledge of top down washing sequence for proper food safety
- Basic knowledge of sanitation chemical usage
- Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout programs
- Ability to learn how to clean all plant lines
- Ability to prioritize work
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team to complete assigned tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
