Job Summary
Sanitor for B&G Foods responsible for sanitation of plant floors, machines, conveyors, and surrounding areas to ensure GMP compliance and FDA standards. Duties include cleaning and removing foreign materials, sweeping hard-to-reach areas, maintaining cleanliness across packaging, processing, warehouse, and office spaces, supporting production teams, following plant safety regulations, operating an industrial vacuum and other cleaning equipment, recharging and maintaining cleaning devices, cleaning overhead fixtures, removing clutter, checking dispensers, and performing preventive sanitation on production lines. Will participate in downtime documentation, assist in training sanitation personnel, and contribute to operational procedure improvements; strong teamwork and basic math skills are required.

- Must have good listening skills and possess the ability to verbally communicate to effectively convey information.
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend work-related reading material.
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to work as a productive member of a team.
- Must be able to work with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.
- Ability to use basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) to complete work tasks.
- Must know packaging line operation to position equipment for cleaning.
- Must become knowledgeable of lock-out tag-out point locations.
