Job Summary
Clean and inspect cooling units throughout the plant in accordance with SSOP and the Master Sanitation Schedule. Disassemble, reassemble, and clean units using basic hand and power tools while adhering to GMP guidelines and safety programs including lockout/tag out. Operate aerial lifts and pressure washers safely after inspecting equipment and reading warning labels. Maintain proper logs and records of cleaned units and complete sanitation work orders as needed. Wear required PPE including safety goggles, harness, respirator, and steel-toed boots. Work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment, available for weekends and holidays, reporting unit conditions and repair needs to the Sanitation Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Reading, writing, and basic math skills
- 3-5 experience working in a food manufacturing facility
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Certified (or able to be certified) to operate boom lift and scissor lift
- Knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
- Self-motivated, a self-starter and self-directed to work without close supervision in a team environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Proactive in communicating and dealing with issues that arise
- Hard-working, dependable, safety and quality conscious
- Possesses good language skills (verbal & written) to interpret procedures, comprehend instructions, and to communicate effectively with others
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Available to work weekends and holidays as necessary
- Able to work on elevated platforms safely for extended periods of time
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
