Job Summary
Sweep and clean the entire warehouse, including battery rooms, product bays, break rooms, and office areas, while emptying trash bins and operating the compactor. Scrub floors and clean up spills or breakages to inventory damaged product, determining if items are resalable or must be disposed of per food safety requirements. Perform light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, collecting recyclables, checking freezers for leaks, and operating equipment like scrubbers, pallet jacks, and high lift trucks. Prepare reports to document cleaning schedules, spillages, and product damage, and track maintenance supply orders. Work Sunday through Thursday from midnight to 8:30 am at a rate of $20/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED
- Able to read and write legibly
- Able to follow orders
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Able to work with little direct supervision
- Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
