Job Summary
Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse and related property. Key duties include sweeping and cleaning the entire warehouse, emptying trash bins and cleaning trash areas, operating a trash compactor when applicable, pulling pallets and cleaning/scrubbing product bays, cleaning up spills per government and US Foods food safety requirements, performing light maintenance (replacing light bulbs, collecting recyclables, paper and shrink wrap, checking freezers for leaks), preparing reports documenting cleaning schedules and damages, possibly tracking and ordering maintenance supplies, and cleaning other areas such as break rooms and offices. Operates equipment including a scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift as needed. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to heavy weights; shift is 3:00am–11:30am, Monday–Friday. Compensation ranges from $18/hour to $22/hour with overtime; benefits may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee benefits.EOE.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or GED preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor)
