Job Summary
Sanitation Worker responsible for cleaning assigned areas, removing trash daily from trash rooms using a forklift, cleaning spills and debris in breezeways and around dumpsters, and performing duties requested by management to ensure efficient operations. Requires forklift operation and certification within 30 days, general housekeeping knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Must meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, and standing for extended periods; HIPAA/regulatory training completed as required.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification within the first 30 days
- 2-3 years experience driving a forklift is preferred
- General knowledge of housekeeping
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills and time management
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and vendors
- Team and independent work ability
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, bending, squatting, and reaching
