Job Summary
Conduct eight-step sanitation procedures on food production equipment and environments while wearing appropriate PPE and following GMP policies. Collaborate with sanitation and other department employees to maintain a clean, sanitary plant for production. Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers up to 50 pounds in hot, cold, wet, or dry conditions. Learn to clean and sanitize machinery, ensuring compliance with SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards. Notify supervisors immediately of any food safety or quality threats. Work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts with mandatory end-of-week deep cleaning and overtime availability.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge on Food Safety and Quality
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a flexible schedule which includes availability to work overtime
- Mandatory presence for the end of week deep cleaning
- Must have a minimal ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environment
- Must be adaptable and accountable for his/her own actions
- Must be able to take direction from lead, supervisors, and managers
- Must be able to stay focused in a loud, fast paced working environment
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must be able to work with chemicals
