Job Summary
Conduct the eight steps of sanitation and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to ensure a clean, sanitary plant for production. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while working with chemicals and handling equipment up to 50 pounds. Collaborate with sanitation and other department employees to maintain food safety and quality standards, notifying supervisors of any threats to safety. Perform daily duties in a loud, fast-paced environment, including mandatory end-of-week deep cleaning, while maintaining good personal hygiene and following all safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge on Food Safety and Quality
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a flexible schedule which includes availability to work overtime
- Mandatory presence for the end of week deep cleaning
- Must have a minimal ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environment
- Must be adaptable and accountable for his/her own actions
- Must be able to take direction from lead, supervisors, and managers
- Must be able to stay focused in a loud, fast paced working environment
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must be able to work with chemicals
