Job Summary
Perform the eight steps of sanitation and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to ensure a clean, sanitary plant for production. Wear appropriate PPE, lift hoses and chemical containers, and learn to clean food production equipment while adhering to GMP policies. Notify supervisors immediately of any issues or threats to food safety or quality. Work cooperatively with other employees, maintain personal hygiene, and follow all safety procedures in hot, cold, wet, or dry environments. This role requires standing or walking for eight hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a loud, fast-paced setting. Mandatory attendance includes end-of-week deep cleaning and overtime availability.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge on Food Safety and Quality
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a flexible schedule which includes availability to work overtime
- Mandatory presence for the end of week deep cleaning
- Must have a minimal ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environment
- Must be able to take direction from lead, supervisors, and managers
- Must be able to stay focused in a loud, fast paced working environment
- Must be able to follow all safety procedures
- Must be able to work with chemicals
