Job Summary
Conduct general sanitation cleaning duties based on current SOPs, including breakdown and reassembly of manufacturing equipment, washdowns, and interior infrastructure cleaning of production and non-production areas. Safely operate bailers, riding scrubbers, and scissor lifts to work from heights up to 20 feet, while ensuring accurate record-keeping of daily sanitation documentation and maintaining audit-ready facilities. Assist in identifying safety hazards, participate in major project work such as dust collection system cleanouts, and perform janitorial tasks including washrooms, trash removal, and groundskeeping. Comply with all food safety, quality assurance, and chemical safety protocols while wearing appropriate PPE. This role requires flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and team lifting up to 55 lbs in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends
- Can frequently move or lift to 55lbs (55lbs-65lbs team lift)
- Must follow all GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
- Ability to read and write English
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Must be reliable, a self-starter and safety-minded
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to climb ladders and maneuver in small spaces
- This position does not allow for remote work
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Prior machine breakdown and sanitation experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Forklift experience
- Production and/or Warehouse experience
