Job Summary
Conduct eight-step sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, sanitary plant environment for food production. Wear appropriate PPE, follow Good Manufacturing Practices, and clean and sanitize food production equipment and surroundings. Frequently lift hoses, equipment, and chemical containers up to 50 pounds while working in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions. Collaborate with other sanitation employees and departments to ensure food safety and quality compliance. Notify supervisors immediately of any issues or threats to food safety. Work 12 hours per shift including mandatory end-of-week deep cleaning, with availability for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge on Food Safety and Quality
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a flexible schedule which includes availability to work overtime
- Mandatory presence for the end of week deep cleaning
- Must have a minimal ability to read and write in English
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, and dry environment
- Must be adaptable and accountable for his/her own actions
- Must be able to take direction from lead, supervisors, and managers
- Must be able to stay focused in a loud, fast paced working environment
