Job Summary
Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, conveyors, production lines, utensils, and facility surfaces including floors, walls, and drains. Disassemble and reassemble machinery to ensure thorough cleaning, remove food residue and debris, and follow established SSOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule. Safely mix, handle, and use cleaning chemicals while performing pre-operational inspections to verify equipment readiness. Complete sanitation logs, report maintenance needs or safety concerns, and assist with environmental monitoring as required. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to maintain high standards, wear required PPE, and adhere to GMPs, HACCP, and USDA/FDA regulations. Availability includes weekends and other shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Able to follow written procedures and safety instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable safely handling cleaning chemicals and wearing required PPE
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Willing to learn and follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Be available to work weekends and other shifts as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous sanitation, food manufacturing, janitorial, warehouse, or production experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Experience safely disassembling and reassembling equipment
- Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
