Job Summary
As a Sanitation Technician, you will be responsible for adhering to health and safety policies, performing cleaning and sanitizing tasks on production equipment, and maintaining food quality and safety standards. Essential functions include preparing equipment for cleaning, utilizing cleaning chemicals, sanitizing various production areas, and ensuring documentation is complete. You will need to demonstrate attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. A high school diploma and one year of experience in a sanitation or janitorial role are required, along with familiarity with safety regulations and food safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Ability to read and understand chemical technical data sheets
- Ability to perform tasks in accordance with safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning machines (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers)
- Ability to identify potential sanitation issues before they become problems
