Job Summary
The Hershey Memphis plant is seeking a Sanitation Technician responsible for all sanitation aspects of the facility, operating equipment (forklift, man lift, genie boom lift), maintaining cleaning and inspection workflows, adhering to GMPs and HAZCOM, and supporting waste-management procedures. The role requires teamwork, adherence to housekeeping standards, flexibility to work 2nd/3rd shifts with overtime and weekends, and passing post-offer drug screen, physical, and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a high school diploma/GED
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be flexible to work any shift (including weekends and holidays)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Must be able to follow GMP and HAZCOM requirements
- Must be able to operate forklift, man lift, and genie boom lift
- Must be able to perform cleaning procedures and waste management
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Must be available for shift assignment and overtime
- Must pass post-offer drug screen, physical assessment, and background check
