Job Summary
Daily sanitation technician role performing Master Sanitation schedule assignments to ensure cleaning and sanitizing of production areas and equipment in a food processing environment. Duties include following the Master Cleaning Schedule, completing sanitation-related paperwork, interpreting Safety Data Sheets, complying with PPE requirements, conducting both operational and pre-operational sanitation inspections, performing weekly PM cleaning, operating PIT equipment as needed, coordinating with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance and Quality teams for timely sanitation, completing required HACCP/FS and quality paperwork, maintaining GMP adherence, preparing areas for monthly fogging, and following Lock Out/Tag Out and Lifeline Foods Code of Team Behavior; role may include tasks outside core responsibilities and requires strong communication, safety, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent preferred
- Fumigation certification preferred; or willingness to obtain
- Experience with regulatory FDA/USDA requirements of Food Plant Sanitation preferred
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic knowledge of sanitation equipment; understanding of cleaning methods (CIP, COP) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; ability to work at heights; able to work in loud environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills; proficient with computers/tablets and two-way radio communications
