Job Summary
Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation procedures for equipment, surfaces, and production areas per company protocols and regulatory guidelines. Conduct routine inspections to identify sanitation issues, monitor inventory levels, and maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and inspection reports. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards while collaborating with production and quality assurance teams to coordinate activities. Identify process optimization opportunities and participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices. Work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to stand
- Ability to walk around office, warehouse, and plant
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
- Ability to utilize fine dexterity
- Ability to reach, kneeling, crawling, and twist on a daily basis
- Flexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in an environment with daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration
- Ability to handle seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity
- Ability to work in an environment involving daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases

- Successful completion of the pre-employment screening process which includes a drug screen and review of criminal background and other records
Desired Qualifications
