Job Summary
Sanitation Tech responsible for maintaining clean, compliant production areas and equipment in a batch manufacturing setting. Works with Operations and Quality teams to ensure cGMP cleanliness, follows SOPs/SSOPs, completes Master Sanitation Schedule tasks, properly uses chemicals, and supports lean efficiency. Must master disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment (pumps, tanks, kettles, mixer, forming machine, oven, metal detector, etc.), participate in daily production alignment, document task completion, and adhere to regulatory requirements. Emphasis on safe, accurate execution, teamwork with production and QC, and continual adherence to SOPs and BPR instructions."
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience working in batch process manufacturing, with sanitation experience
- Ability to follow SOPs and SSOPs
- GFSI, SQF, BRC, Organic, Kosher experience are a plus
- Able to clearly communicate, including documentation/sign-off of completed tasks
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to show up on time and perform duties assigned
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively. We record task completion and M.S.S. completion on electronic tablets.
- Ability to receive instruction and follow directions
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot warehouse equipment
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify errors and/or inconsistencies while performing tasks
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift 40Lb
- Physical/Functional Requirements: ability to work with others, travel not specified (on-site work)
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed to meet business needs
- Reliable transportation to/from office location(s)
