Job Summary
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble egg processing equipment daily using high-pressure systems, hoses, and chemicals while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices. Review chemical usage and mixing with the supervisor, maintain accurate record keeping, and ensure all equipment remains in good repair. Rotate on a three-day-on, four-day-off schedule. Previous food plant sanitation experience and familiarity with GMPs are highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently
- Ability and willingness to learn several associated jobs
- Speak English and Spanish
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of sanitation methods, chemical handling and use
- Knowledge of process control systems and food safety principles
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
- Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.)
- Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous food plant sanitation experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with GMP's or equivalent practices is highly desirable
- Speak English and Spanish is highly desirable
