Sanitation Supervisor

Job Summary
Coordinate and assist Sanitation Technicians in cleaning greenhouse and packaging equipment while following GMPs and Safety guidelines. Perform daily inspections, chemical verifications, and allergen program validations to ensure adherence to SSOPs and HACCP standards. Measure, mix, and monitor industrial chemicals, maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting needs to the FSQA Manager. Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment using pressure sprayers and other sanitation tools. Actively train new hires and transfers, assist in developing master sanitation schedules, and coordinate activities with other departments to minimize downtime. Responsible for daily employee scheduling, timecard approvals, and preparing for third-party audits.
Required Qualifications
- One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Prior Industrial Sanitation experience and/or experience in regulated industries, i.e., healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods is highly desired
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in sanitation and leading a team
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Industrial Sanitation experience and/or experience in regulated industries, i.e., healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and guidelines
- Comfortable working in conditions that include height, heat, and high intensity lighting
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to disassemble and reassemble processing equipment
- Ability to learn Confined Space Entry and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
- Work with chemicals and sanitizers and adhere to Chemical Safety Training
