Sanitation Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Summary
Direct and supervise day-to-day sanitation of plant production equipment and facilities, developing and documenting cleaning procedures such as SSOPs and logs to meet federal, state, and local food safety regulations. Plan, assign, and direct work for sanitation workers while training staff on sanitation procedures and safe equipment operation. Appraise performance, address complaints, and resolve problems to ensure compliance with safety rules and company GMPs. Coordinate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance on sanitation issues and machinery concerns. Work with management and chemical suppliers on process changes to improve sanitation results and reduce costs. Ensure quality, productivity, and food safety standards are maintained at or above required levels.
Required Qualifications
- Food industry sanitation experience
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience in the food manufacturing industry
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be open to working on weekends and holidays
- Must not have four (4) or more attendance points on an eight (8) point policy
- No written warnings in the last six (6) months
- No record of suspension in the last twelve (12) months
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages when preparing cleaning chemicals
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- HACCP certification preferred
- 2+ years in a similar role; experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Proficient in using a personal computer with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proficient in analytical, critical, inductive, and deductive logic and reasoning
- Adaptable and flexible with effective time and scheduling management skills
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
