Sanitation Supervisor (3rd Shift) – New London Prepared Foods Plant

Job Summary
Direct and supervise cleaning of plant production equipment and facility to meet federal, state, and local food safety regulations and customer quality standards. Ensure employees follow company policies, maintain sanitation quality and department efficiencies, and develop, document, and comply with Master Sanitation Schedules and SSOPs. Train sanitation workers on safe equipment disassembly, appraise performance, and resolve complaints. Coordinate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance on sanitation issues, chemical changes, and machinery problems while protecting product during cleaning. Ensure compliance with all safety rules, GMPs, and food safety specifications. Work Monday through Sunday, including 3rd shift (8:30 PM – 6:00 AM), with additional compensation for the 6th and 7th workdays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience in the food industry
- HACCP certification
- food industry sanitation experience
- Efficiently utilize a personal computer outfitted with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills
- Skilled in adaptable, flexible, yet effective time and scheduling management
- Skilled in analytical, critical, inductive, and deductive logic and reasoning
- Able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Able to write reports
- Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent when preparing cleaning chemicals
- Must reside in the United States
- Must not have 4 or more attendance points for locations on an 8 point policy (on application date)
- No written warning in the past six (6) months
- No suspension on record for the last 12 months
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
