Job Summary
Sanitation Supervisor leads the 3rd shift sanitation and production team, plans and oversees daily/periodic cleaning activities, maintains the Master Cleaning Schedule and Sanitation SOPs, and drives food-safety compliance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include coordinating sanitation processes plant-wide, conducting inspections and audits, tracking corrective actions, reporting food-safety concerns, coaching team members, enforcing plant rules, and supporting development. Requires knowledge of GMP/food safety guidelines, HACCP, FDA/USDA regulations, CIP/COP systems, TPM principles, and strong teamwork and leadership abilities in a manufacturing environment. Relocation assistance is available; local candidates preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HS Diploma/GED plus 2+ years related experience in a food manufacturing operations environment
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety guidelines
- Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points plans
- Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations
- Wet and Dry cleaning experience; 7 steps of sanitation
- Knowledge of Clean In Place and Clean Out of Place systems
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles
- Knowledge of plant equipment, sanitation processes, and safety practices
- Ability to work an alternative and rotating schedule
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
