Job Summary
Direct and supervise the cleaning of plant production equipment and facilities to meet federal, state, and local food safety regulations and FDA standards. Develop and document cleaning procedures, including SSOPs and logs, while ensuring employees strictly follow company policies and maintaining sanitation quality and department efficiencies. Plan, assign, and direct work for sanitation workers through training, motivation, and performance appraisals, addressing complaints and resolving problems as necessary. Coordinate all sanitation activities with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to ensure compliance with safety rules, GMPs, and master sanitation schedules. Work independently on special projects and collaborate with management and chemical suppliers to improve sanitation results and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- 2 plus years of manufacturing experience in the food industry
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- HACCP certification
- Food industry sanitation experience
- Prior supervisor or lead experience
- Efficiently utilize a personal computer outfitted with Microsoft Office software including Word Excel and Outlook
- Able to read and interpret documents such as MSDS Safety rules and procedure manuals
- Able to write reports
- Able to compute rate ratio and percent when preparing cleaning chemicals
