Job Summary
Lead a hands-on sanitation team on the 2nd shift at a food-manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include supervising sanitation staff, ensuring proper cleaning and sanitizing of the production area and equipment, performing ATP testing to verify cleanliness, conducting pre-operational inspections, applying and verifying sanitation chemical concentrations with SDS compliance, maintaining SSOP records and sanitation logs, coordinating deep-clean tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule, aligning sanitation with production needs, training and coaching staff, monitoring labor hours, ensuring GMP/food-safety standards, troubleshooting sanitation and equipment issues, communicating needs to management, assigning staff for quality and efficiency, and collaborating with Quality Control and Production to support plant operations. Requires 2–3+ years of sanitation/manufacturing/leadership experience, strong leadership and communication, ability to work hands-on in production, attention to food safety, and a high school diploma or equivalent. OSHA 10 certifications preferred; knowledge of LOTO and familiar with environmental monitoring and Listeria considerations in a RTE environment is a plus.
