Job Summary
Sanitation Superintendent responsible for managing the facility sanitation program and a team of 20-25 hourly associates on the 3rd shift. Oversees cleaning, pest control, chemical management, and compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards. Coordinates with QA and facility leadership to ensure audit readiness, maintains master sanitation schedule, manages supplier relationships and budget for cleaning chemicals, leads root cause analysis, and drives continuous improvement and KPI reporting. Requires HACCP knowledge, 3rd party audit familiarity, strong communication, and ability to adapt schedules to business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years working in food safety and sanitation in a food environment
- Bachelor’s degree or above preferred, but not required
- HACCP & 3rd party audit certified
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Reliability, decisiveness, good judgment, assertiveness, flexibility, persistence, and patience
- Knowledge of food sanitation requirements
- Well-developed and demonstrated English-language communications (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to communicate and enforce quality and food safety expectations in a collaborative and effective manner.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict in a positive way
- Ability to flex schedule to support the business.
