Job Summary

Clean facilities and equipment in proper sequence to enable pre-op inspection and set-up. Apply chemicals for degreasing and sanitizing using sprayers and hoses, and perform hot and cold water wash downs for all plant equipment, floors, and walls. Clean equipment parts, overheads, units, pipes, lights, smokehouse, and breakroom areas. Gather trash, squeegee floors, clean drains, and cover sensitive equipment with plastic for protection. Follow the daily sanitation schedule, complete the Master Cleaning Schedule, and perform pre-inspections prior to Quality checks. Assist with machine re-assembly for start-up and suggest improvements to efficiency. Perform all duties within OSHA and company safety standards, including LOTO and PPE requirements. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:30pm to 6am.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Cleaning or chemical sanitation experience/training or equivalent within a manufacturing food industry facility
  • Ability to follow detailed, written and verbal instructions
  • Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment
  • Able to understand and follow Chemical & Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and policies
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be available for Monday - Thursday; 7:30pm - 6am
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand
  • Must be able to walk
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Must be able to talk or hear
  • Must be able to occasionally sit
  • Must be able to occasionally reach with hands and arms

  • Must be able to suggest improvements to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of all support activities
  • Must be able to complete pre-inspections prior to FSQ (Quality) doing pre-operation inspections to minimize deficiencies found
  • Must be able to assist with re-assembly of machine(s) for start-up
  • Must be able to use the proper chemical for the job and at the specified concentration
  • Must be able to complete Master Cleaning Schedule to ensure all areas of facility are cleaned on a regular basis
  • Must be able to follow daily sanitation schedule and achieve specified goals
  • Must be able to clean facilities and equipment, in proper sequence, and in a timely manner enabling pre-op inspection and set-up to begin on time for a successful start-up and hour of power for product
  • Must be able to apply chemicals for cleaning, degreasing and sanitizing using sprayers and hoses
  • Must be able to apply a hot water wash down (temperature 120-140 degrees) and cold water wash downs for all plant equipment, floors and walls
  • Must be able to clean equipment parts, overheads, units, pipes and lights, smokehouse, etc.
  • Must be able to clean breakroom & bathrooms during workhours
  • Must be able to gather trash in carts and transport to trash compactor for disposal
  • Must be able to squeegee floors and clean drains in plant area
  • Must be able to cover sensitive equipment with plastic for protection
  • Must be able to perform all duties within OSHA and company safety standards
  • Must be able to ensure safety devices are installed and working properly
  • Must be able to complete pre-inspections prior to FSQ (Quality) doing pre-operation inspections to minimize deficiencies found
  • Must be able to perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED of education preferred
  • Cleaning or chemical sanitation experience/training or equivalent within a manufacturing food industry facility preferred
