Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of sanitation techs to train on safety protocols and SOPs while overseeing daily operations including disassembly, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembly per USDA/FDA standards. Manage chemical usage, ensure audit readiness through accurate documentation, and drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps. Collaborate with plant leadership, engineering, quality, HR, and finance to align sanitation goals with production targets and maintain labor cost efficiency. Own site-level KPIs, safety compliance, and food safety standards while building trust with clients through transparent communication.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in a leadership role within a food processing sanitation environment
- Strong working knowledge of GMPs, SSOPs, ATP/Pre-Op Inspections, allergen control, and USDA/FDA requirements
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HAZCOMM), PPE, and chemical safety
- English and Spanish fluency
- Able to use digital tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) for scheduling, documentation, and reporting
- Day, night, or overnight shifts
- Weekdays and weekends as needed
- Physical work
- Exposure to sanitation chemicals
- Adherence to all safety practices
- On-site at a designated food production facility
